Few ideas for scrap quilts



Cut a few two and a half inch squares.
Arrange them into 20" blocks on the design wall.



Sew them into blocks for simple arrangements.

 
 for quick results.


Make a Clam-shell quilt 


They are loads of fun!


Can you tell I love 2" squares?


 

Bunch of 2" squares, that's all it takes!

  5. So many good ideas here to whittle away my scrap basket. I've been thinking about the popular Granny Square blocks, but separating them with squares instead of sashing as you did in picture no. 6. Maybe that's the design I should start with. Although I do like no. 1, and the last one and. ...

  9. what a fun exhibit of 2" squares. I really like them all and especially the 2nd photo. The colors remind me of fruit salad - fresh and yummy!

  14. Re photo #6 in this blog ... have you figured out how to set the blocks?? I have made this quilt and wasnʻt clever enough; so resorted to the basic inset, i.e. hand stitching each and every block! Labor of love and worth it, but Iʻd love to learn a better way.

  17. Love your ideas. I have 1 1/2 inch squares to use. Minis for me. Now to increase my 2 1/2 stash to make bigger quilts too.
