Did I say....

I could not focus?

That is exactly right!
I am still cleaning my sewing room..
Sort of...
For those of you who know my quilt Ferris Wheel ,
know how it all began..

You can check it out here

The new quilt is following it's path.
The only difference, I am using the scraps from the Ferris Wheel to make this new quilt.

The process began with the same intention....

Trying to CLEAN my sewing room.

It is easy to get distracted or inspired! How ever you look at it.

My sewing room is still a mess but a new quilt is evolving.

I had  leftovers from the wheel quilt and decided to sew them up first.
I think I have a pretty good idea on what is coming next..
You must stay tuned.

I am so excited!!!

  1. What pretties! I just went back to read about the first one and enjoyed the comments about "southern quilts". Living most of my life in southeast Tennessee, I guess I really thought of there being a difference in southern vs. northern vs. western, etc. Interesting.

  2. I should be honest and say that I don't know much about the history but, I think the quilts were brighter and bolder..

  3. cleaning, focusing, quilting that's what I've been trying to do this week too...but I sure didn't produce anything as pretty as those fabric blocks I see there!

  4. Whoops! I actually meant to say that I did not think there was that much difference between southern/northern/western, etc. quilts. :}
Guess i need to learn to reread what I have written. :)

  5. Mary,

I could be completely wrong..But guess what? I am making progress on these blocks.. Will post more over the weekend!

  6. I prefer inspired over distracted.....since I am easily distracted, from now on I might walk around saying I'm easily inspired. Look what came out of you distraction.....whoops I mean your inpiration. Looks great.

  7. such inspiration is truly moving!
